Point of View
How's it Look From Your Point of View?
This week we started our new reading lesson of point of view. On Wednesday, we got together as a group and started talking about point of view. We read Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne. This book taught us about point of view but showed us one story, only through four different perspectives. Then, we got a partner, read one random page from the book that we were reading, and then we proved which type of perspective our book was written in (1’st Person, 2’nd Person, 3’rd Person Limited, or 3’rd person omniscient) by quoting an accurate quote from the text. Thursday morning, we took a two question survey to check our understanding so far of point of view. Finally, to top it all off, our class blog this week was about if we could pick anyones perspective to look from, who or what would it be, why, how would it be different from yours, and what would you learn. That’s one of the things we did this week!

Auction Letters
Through January 6th and January 23rd we have been working on business letters and so far we are all doing great but just wait and see how much stuff we get for the auction. It is going to be crazy because some people sent letters to schools, restaurants, and stores. Everyone is working hard to get as much “money” as they can because everyone wants something good from the auction, but it is at the end of the year so we have a long way ahead of us. The way we earn money is if we do extra credit and we also work hard for the extra money. We spend/earn the money from responsibility, living kindly, and following the core virtues. Let’s all hope that this auction will get lots of stuff. So far we got 2 things and one of them is from Meijers and the other thing is from Bravo’s.
