Live Kind Choose Happiness Unleash Learning
What we have been up to…
Math: We had a review of concepts before our Ohio Achievement Assessment. The students worked hard on Wednesday’s math assessment, and I was very proud of them. We took a break from homework so we could enjoy our evenings during this testing week.
Reading: We continued our reading of Under the Egg this week, discussing inferences and using context clues along the way. We also read and discussed the imagery the author used in a poem titled “The Rainstorm.”
Science: We traced the flow of food energy through food webs and food chains.
Social Studies: Students have been patient as we took a break from social studies. I promised the kids we would focus much of our attention to social studies these next few weeks.
Word Study: Due to OAA week, we took a break from word study. We will continue again next week.
Reminders:
We know it is late in the year, but please check with your child that he/she has some notebook paper and pencils to make it through May. We appreciate this.
